Paid acquisition
Meta, Google and TikTok planned as one system and judged on what the business actually makes, not on what each platform reports about itself.
- Account structure
- Daily budget management
- Monthly reporting
Catalyst Venture Commerce is a marketing agency for consumer ecommerce brands. We run paid acquisition across Meta, Google and TikTok, make the creative that goes in it, and work on the offer and retention around it.
Services
Channels are planned together and judged on how the business performs overall. Siloed teams optimising their own return is how brands end up paying three times for the same customer.
Meta, Google and TikTok planned as one system and judged on what the business actually makes, not on what each platform reports about itself.
The real lever on acquisition cost. New concepts in continuous production — static, video and ad copy, made in-house for the campaigns we run.
Pricing, bundling and the path from ad to checkout. Most acquisition problems turn out to be offer problems wearing a costume.
Lifecycle marketing built around the second and third order, because the first one rarely pays for itself on its own.
How it works
01
We go through the accounts, the creative and the numbers underneath them. You get the findings in full, whether or not we go further.
02
We agree the channels, the budget and what we are testing first, and write down what we are each committing to before any work starts.
03
Account structure, tracking and product feeds get fixed before spend scales. Then creative goes into continuous production against a written hypothesis.
04
Day-to-day management, new creative on a regular cadence, and a monthly report that explains what changed, what it cost and what we are doing next.
How we work
Catalyst Venture Commerce was set up to run a small number of ecommerce accounts properly rather than a large number at arm's length. Everything here follows from that.
The people who plan an account are the people who run it. Work is done by our own team — campaign management is never outsourced or handed to a junior once the pitch is over.
We work inside your ad accounts, not ours. You keep ownership and full access throughout, and the creative we produce is yours. If we part ways, there is nothing to untangle.
Our commercials are built around results rather than hours billed. The structure is agreed with each brand individually and written down before any work starts.
An initial three months, because nothing meaningful happens faster than that, then month to month with 30 days' notice either way. We would rather earn the next month than hold you to a year.
Selected work
Skincare
Collapsed dozens of overlapping campaigns into a handful of clean structures, fixed the conversion tracking underneath, and moved creative onto a weekly production cadence.
Home goods
Added Google Shopping and TikTok alongside an existing Meta account, planned as one budget so the channels stopped bidding against each other for the same customer.
Supplements
Reworked the offer and the landing experience so first-order economics stood up on their own, then scaled acquisition spend behind the improved margin.
We plan, build and run paid advertising campaigns for consumer ecommerce brands — primarily Meta, Google and TikTok — and produce the creative that runs in them. Alongside that we work on the offer, the landing experience and the email and SMS programme, because acquisition rarely improves in isolation.
We work on performance-based arrangements rather than a flat fee for hours. The exact structure depends on the channels involved, the stage the brand is at and what we are taking responsibility for — it is agreed with you in writing before any work starts and recorded in the engagement agreement.
Because it puts us on the same side of the table as you. If the work does not move the numbers, that shows up in what we are paid, which is the right way round.
You do, throughout. We work inside your accounts rather than ours, and the creative we produce for you is yours once that month's fee is paid.
We ask for an initial three months, because meaningful changes to an account rarely show their effect faster than that. After the initial term it runs month to month, with 30 days' notice either way.
Brands that are already trading and already advertising, typically past the point where the founder can run acquisition alone. Below that, what you need is simpler and cheaper than us, and we would rather say so than take the fee.
Send us your details below. We come back within two working days, usually with a handful of questions and a time to talk.
A free teardown of your advertising and creative, written by the person who would be running it. No pitch deck, no discovery call required.
We'll only use your address to reply to you.
